Kyoto City Keihoku Cultural Heritage Center

The Keihoku area is not only a natural environment, but also an area rich in history and culture, and many cultural assets and ruins remain.

Utilizing a part of the former Keihoku Daini Elementary School, which sadly closed in 2, and linking the preservation and utilization of cultural heritage with local learning, and promoting the culture of the Keihoku region both inside and outside the region. The “Kyoto City Keihoku Cultural Heritage Center” was established in October 4 with the aim of promoting the Keihoku region.
This facility has exhibits centering on cultural properties excavated from the Keihoku region, and you can learn about the history of Keihoku and the rich culture of the region.
In addition to special exhibitions, workshops and symposiums are also scheduled to be held in the exchange room of the building (the theme of the 4 special exhibition will be the [Yamagun Tai], which was active during the Boshin War).
