Before enjoying the game meat, we took a stroll around the stone Buddha statues.
There is a magnificent group of stone Buddha statues in the mountains called "Takimata Valley."
From the parking lot, follow the source of the Hosono River and walk about 1km through the forest to reach the stone gate of Takimata Stone Buddha.
Once you pass the stone gate, a total of 42 stone Buddha statues continue deep into the valley, in places where the terrain of the mountain slope changes and in rock cavities. It would take more than an hour to see them all.
Along the way to the stone Buddha statues, there is a stone pillar that guides you to Takimata Falls. After seeing the stone Buddha statues, you should definitely see Takimata Falls, which flows down in three tiers from a single rock.

Please note that the stone Buddha statue is located in the forest and cannot be accessed when there is snow.

The view of the waterfall cascading from a 25m cliff is spectacular, and when you look up from the base of the falls, you can see a vast expanse of sky among the leaves, making it clear that this is a waterfall in the forest.
The natural environment of the forest creates a waterfall with various faces throughout the four seasons.
The waterfall in winter may be a bit steep, but it is recommended for those with the courage.

It's a narrow path through the forest, so you can't go there when there's snow.
