A dance choreography is performed on the ondo of "Joruri" by Chikamatsu Monzaemon in the middle of the Edo period, and it has become a staple of traditional Bon Odori in the Tamba region.It is an indispensable ondo for the Bon festival dance every summer in Keihoku.The Tamba Ondo / Dance Preservation Society has been established and is working to preserve and popularize it.
