The age of the castle is unknown, but it is said that the youngest child, Yoriaki, of Toki, the lord of Nagamori Castle in Gifu City, moved to Utsugo and named him Utsu.

Utsu Castle was built on the north bank of the Katsura River, on the mountain behind the north of Yawata Shrine. The castle opened shortly after the war, and Mr. Utsu was destroyed.

It is said that Mitsuhide acquired Utsu Castle, then repaired it, and built a new Zhoushan Castle. Now you can see the remnants of masonry buried in the grove.
