At Kyoto Keihoku Elementary and Junior High School, the school library is open to local residents.Since it is a school library, there are a lot of children's books.In addition, the open-air library, which uses a lot of wood, is a perfect environment for reading.
By opening the school library to the community, children and parents and children will have more opportunities to come into contact with books in the Keihoku area, where there are no bookstores, and will foster a foundation for familiarizing with books from an early age.
In addition, we are aiming to create a library through regional participation, such as by having the cooperation of local storytelling groups.
